Life Over 56

Commuting

Getting Around:   I never thought I would have to push my wife in our daughter's old transport, but that is exactly what happened before she went to a nursing home.

My motto has been "Hope for the best, Prepare for the Worst and Live each day to the Fullest."

My health is not a bed of roses either, but I accept what has happened and I am trying to make the best of it. I focus on the 40 years we had together and try to do what I can for her. Unfortunately, there is very little I can do for her, since she does not know who I am.

I could mope around the house and feel sorry for myself and decry what has happened. However, I feel I have been given an opportunity to focus on my dreams. I always wanted to be an artist, photographer or a writer. I am in the process of doing all three. And at the same time I hope to help others make their life a little more bearable.
